Carloforte is a picturesque fishing village located on Isola di San Pietro (Saint Peter’s Island), approximately 7 km from the South Western Coast of Sardinia. The island and town combine the dual roles of fishing port and tourist destination.
Carloforte is not at all Sardinian. Founded by coral fishermen from area near Genoa in northern Italy in the 18th century, it still maintains the intrigue of a traditional ligurian village with its pastel-coulored houses and cobbled streets and the local people still speak a Genoese dialect and preserve their customs. World renowned for its tuna fish, Carloforte itself is an attractive small town and there are great places to eat out and enjoy a pre or after-dinner drink. There are also several scenic highlights nearby as well as small beaches and secluded rocky bays which together make the resort popular and quite active in summer.
Civil ceremonies in Carloforte can be organized in 10 different locations and most of them are on the beach:
Symbolic ceremonies can be organized on the beach, on boat, at panoramic promenade, etc.
