Orosei is a small and colourful town located on Sardinia’s eastern coast, easily reachable with a short drive from the “Costa Smeralda International Airport” or the harbour town of Olbia. Nestled between two mountain plateaus and the sea, in the valley of the Cedrino River, Orosei has a small, historic local centre with buildings that have been largely preserved and keep most of their original traits and the characteristic Italian “Piazzetta”, with bars and restaurants that add a country-typical, Mediterranean atmosphere to this place.

In the proximity of the town, the coastline is characterized by a long beach of thin white sand lined with pine trees and typically Mediterranean flora, known by the name of Marina di Orosei.

Further south Golfo di Orosei expands into one of the most beautiful rocky coastlines in the Mediterranean. It’s the longest coastal tract in Italy without any signs of human habitation. For around 40 kilometres the coastline between Cala Gonone and Santa Maria Navarrese is not only completely uninhabited, but also blessed with a rugged and wild hinterland rich in endemic species of flora and fauna.
